Abstract
The Rohingya are one of the minorities that inhabit the Rakhine region in northern Myanmar, and take Islam as their religion. This minority has faced much persecution by the government as well as by the majority of their country’s Buddhist population. There are multiple reasons behind this hostility, including: ethnic, historical, and religious reasons. Accordingly, The minority faced the worst types of violence and displacement, and the government refused to recognize them, which led to the emergence of national opposition movements from the Rohingya people against them, trying to stand up to them and force them to recognize their rights, but the government confronted them militarily, and so the conflict continued between the two parties until external interventions appeared. Trying to end this trouble that claimed the lives of so many innocent people.
