Abstract

Prophetic poetry is intuitive and clairvoyant poetry through which the poet can read the future while looking at the strength of the past and the events of the present, which makes him anticipate what will happen in the future.  Al-Bayati is one of the prophetic poets of the modern era. He crowned his prophecies through legend as expressing people’s concerns, whether they were personal or national concerns. And through the existential tendency as representing a comprehensive human attempt to realize the essence that is the core of existence and reveal the meaning of a free and dignified life. As for the historical prophecy, which  It was represented by the inevitability that relates to the human effort in the past and also targets the efforts of the future, what constituted for us his poetry a prophetic ability represented by many of his poems as they anticipate the future of the country and the region.
