Abstract

In my research (the Qarmatians of Iraq and the Levant and their conflict with the Abbasid caliphate), I dealt with the conditions that prevailed in the Abbasid caliphate in the political, economic and social aspects, before the emergence of the Qarmatians, and I talked about the elements that used to live in Baghdad and the subsequent deterioration and weakness of the caliphate matters to be forced to seek the help of the Turkish element after it She lost her confidence in the Persian and Arab element. She talked about the origin of the name Qarmatians and how it originated in the center of Kufa at the hands of the preacher Hussein Al-Ahwazi, and then the matter was completed after him by Hamdan bin Qarmat and his brother-in-law (Abdan) and the growth of its strength until it reached the establishment of (Dar Al-Hijrah). with the mission of the call after they killed Abadan and singled them out for the call, and after that they were subjected to harassment by the supporters of Hamdan bin Qarmat and Abadan, which forced them to go to the Levant and the desert of Samawahbetween Damascus and Kufa until the Abbasid caliphate was able to eliminate them and track down the rest of them by killing or imprisoning
