Abstract

My research revolves around the measures taken by Al-Saleh Najm Al-Din Ayyub to restore matters to normal after chaos erupted among the Ayyubid princes due to conflicting personal interests, prior to the Seventh Crusade and the alliances that took place between the Ayyubid and Crusader princes, and the battle of Gaza that took place between the Ayyubid forces and the Crusaders In which the Ayyubid forces were able to defeat the Crusaders, then great divisions occurred between the princes, which eventually led to Thibaut IV leaving the Levant and his return to Europe, and the advent of the English campaign, which was able to achieve great gains by restoring what was for the Kingdom of Jerusalem west of the Jordan River, It dealt with the conflicts that took place between the Crusader princes themselves, who were acting as if they were independent regions, and then The great blow suffered by the Crusaders in the Battle of Arbia, which cost the Crusader forces heavy losses, and the Khwarizmians participated in this battle, who had a major role in that victory. From achieving a great victory under the leadership of Louis IX by entering Damietta and then heading to Cairo, and in the meantime, Al-Saleh Najm Al-Din Ayoub died, and Shajarat Al-Durr completed managing the battle and was giving orders in the name of her husband and concealed his death until the arrival of the daughter of Turanshah and he managed to achieve victory and Louis was captured The ninth itself, and thus the Seventh Crusade failed.
