Abstract

The topic of (poetic creativity) has raised many questions, ideas and interpretations, extending from ancient times and still raising them to the present time, which calls for standing on it and researching it. The process of (poetry creation) has been linked, since people became aware of it, to the unnatural characteristics of the poet's personality and the depths of his soul with what surrounds it of mystery, and what appears in it of strange and incomprehensible behavior, in addition to poetry itself, which is speech that surpasses the speech of other people in magic and influence on souls. Therefore, the process of (poetry creation) was surrounded by an aura of admiration and wonder, and they sought to explain it with supernatural and mythical explanations, until the modern era came and modern studies began to appear that depend on rational logic and the scientific method in analyzing and explaining this phenomenon.
This research seeks to discuss the basic aspects of modern studies of this subject, which is characterized by depth and complexity, as different branches of knowledge and sciences overlap in it. On the one hand, it falls within the field of literature and literary criticism, and on the other hand, psychology is concerned with researching it because it is a special type of conscious and unconscious behavior. Sociology also deals with aspects of it because it is an activity that is affected by society and is affected by society. On the other hand, philosophy has been preoccupied with it since the beginning of its documentation.
