Abstract
This study attempts to analyse the pre-Islamic poetic contents that evoked the phenomenon of confession in the poetry of the pre-Islamic knights, as reading certain selected texts by Amr bin Maadi Yakrib Al- Zabidi, revealed the nature of confessions, and how the composer of these texts adopted a conscious approach in producing them. It is a study of what is behind the confessional texts and how to create its product within an artistic image that is firmly rooted and n the creator’s cultural backgrounds, alluding to what we s hidden within the poet’s soul. It is an experience of revelation through the mirrors of poetic utterances, in which the poet presents the unspoken of it the implied through confession, and demonstrates its effect in directing the knight’s behaviour through his confession according to a psychological perspective that reveals the motives behind the process and f his poetic creativity, thus expressing the immediate moment that embodied his psychological feelings and personal emotions before and after the particular event.
