Abstract
The research subject deals with the decision of the international court of justice about taking a provisional measures in the case recently proceed by South Africa against Israel regarding serious violations of international humanitarian law taking place in the Palestinian territories as a result of the military operation carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people , which left thousands of civilian victims as well as the destruction of thousands of residential buildings and infrastructure , targeting of hospitals and other civilian dominions , in addition to the imposition of stifling siege on civilians with the intention of starving them and forced displacement , which constitutes the crime of genocide in accordance with the provisions of the convention on the prevention and punishment of the crime of genocide of 1948 , where the research deals with the concept of provisional measures , their extent of obligation ,and their legal basis , the conditions for ordering them , and the extent to which Israel is responsible for not implementing the court decision regarding provisional measures , as well as the legal means available to oblige Israel to respect the aforementioned decision.
