Abstract
The current research aims to identify the emotional schemas of graduate students and the differences in their emotional schemas according to both the variables of gender (males - females) and specialization (scientific - literary). To achieve the objectives of the research, the two researchers adopted the emotional schema scale of Leahy (2002, Leahy), which was translated by (Taleb, 2021), which consists of 50 items distributed over five areas, namely (sense of meaning, simplified view of emotions, control of emotions, perpetuation of feelings, and acceptance of feelings), and each item has five alternatives: ( Applies to completely, Applies to often, Applies to sometimes, Applies to rarely, Applies to never(
Its validity and reliability were also extracted. The two researchers applied the scale to the research sample that was chosen randomly and consisted of (300) male and female postgraduate students. The statistical methods used in the research are (Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test for one sample and for two independent samples, analysis of variance the couple). The results showed that graduate students have emotional schemas above average, and that there are no differences in emotional schemas according to the variables of gender and specialization. The two researchers came to a number of recommendations and proposals
