Abstract
The current research addresses the significance of international agreements in regulating international relations, discussing challenges associated with their implementation and understanding. The research also discusses difficulties associated with the implementation of international agreements, where some countries may not adhere to signed agreements or may ignore certain commitments, thus reducing the effectiveness of these agreements as tools for regulating international relations. Moreover, the research highlights challenges arising from conflicting interests between countries, and how differences in opinions and interpretations can hinder the implementation or understanding of agreements equally. In the first section of the research, focus is placed on the role of international agreements in promoting international peace and security, including agreements dedicated to peace and security enhancement and mechanisms for peacefully resolving international disputes. In the second section, emphasis is placed on the role of international agreements in promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms, including non-negotiable basic rights and combating torture and forms of degrading treatment.
