The sample consisted of(120) male and female students who were chosen randomly. Two scales of self- confidence and the seven habits of mind were applied. The results of the study indicated, after analyzing the data statistically, that the research sample has a good level of self- confidence and also possesses habits of mind that are higher than average. It was also shown that there is a positive relationship between the level of self- confidence and habits of mind. The result also showed that there is Statistically significant differences at the significant level (0.05) on the self- confidence scale, in favor of males and also in favor of the first stage. The results of the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences depending on the variable of gender and stage of study.
