Abstract
The topic of discord was addressed in terms of its concept, linguistic definition, rulings, and cases. Discordance has been a matter that has been and continues to be a focus of attention for jurists and scholars of Islamic law. It has also had a significant impact on the practical aspect of the fragmentation that occurs within a single family. We find that Iraqi courts have dealt with many cases, one of the biggest problems of which is the discordance that occurs on the part of the wife, without regard for the dispersion and family loss that this situation causes, not only between the spouses, but also to the children and to the families of the spouses themselves, through quarrels and hostility, which may be the cause of many accidents and criminal offenses. The noble Islamic Sharia has devoted complete and comprehensive attention to encompassing this problem and attempting to reduce it by addressing the problem and attempting to contain and mitigate it. Through research, we found that there are several effects of discord, including social effects and effects related to the family itself and how to dismantle it due to the problems caused by discordance. Discordance, while centered around being a problem that threatens the family system, can be contained.
