Abstract
This research aims to examine the Orientalist movement initiated by a group of Jewish and Christian scholars and thinkers to study the Islamic and Eastern world. The movement raised various doubts regarding the universality of the Quranic message.
The study provides a descriptive and analytical presentation of the most significant views of Orientalists who denied the universality of the Quranic message. They claimed that it was limited to a specific time and place, arguing that it was exclusive to Arab nationalism and the Arabian Peninsula. Some even asserted that the Quranic message was not divine revelation but rather the psychological inspirations and reflections of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Their goal was to create doubts in the minds of Muslims.
In this research, we seek to refute these false claims by providing evidence from the Quran, Sunnah, and reason, which we refer to asgeneral reasoning. We then address each specific doubt separately, responding with appropriate arguments. Additionally, we support our argument by analyzing the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) approach in spreading the Islamic message, which was extensive and widespread across various regions.
Through this analysis, we demonstrate that the Quranic message is universal, directed toward all of humanity without distinction. It is not exclusive to Arabs, nor is it confined to the Arabian Peninsula. This confirms the global vision of a united humanity as conveyed in the Quranic message.
