Abstract
The family is considered the basic unit in society, and plays a prominent role in building the moral values of its members and thus in shaping the moral values of society. It is the first and main place where individuals learn moral values and behaviours, as they are influenced by and emulate the ideals and actions of their parents. In general, it can be said that the family plays an effective role in building moral values for individuals and societies, and this enhances stability and positive development of society as a whole. The current research aims to identify the role of the family in building values among its members through five attempts, which are as follows (values in Islam, the role of the family in developing values, the influence The family on moral values, models in the development of moral values, the most important social and psychological theories in the development of moral values) as the research relied on the descriptive analytical approach to the axes that relate to the research as well as presenting some previous studies that dealt with the concepts came up with a number of recommendations and proposals, including that partners must be a preferred role model for their members by applying values in their daily lives and in dealing with others. The family should encourage effective communication about values and ethics, through specialized and honest channels, about gourmet and animal issues that arise. The family can promote animal values through a sense of social responsibility and active participation in charitable work and volunteer activities.
