Abstract

The current research aims to analyze the content of the Arabic reading book for the sixth grade in the light of cultural heritage, as the researchers used the descriptive analytical method, and to achieve the research goal, the researchers used the method of content analysis, as it is one of the methods of the descriptive method, and the researchers identified the analysis tool (analysis standard) a form to indicate the aspects of cultural heritage and its indicators , and the researchers verified the authenticity of the tool by presenting it to a group of experts and arbitrators in the field of teaching methods, educational and psychological sciences, and its final form was two areas of cultural heritage, namely : The material field includes () an index of folk heritage and ( 18 ) an index of archaeological heritage, Then the researchers analyzed the Arabic reading book for the sixth grade of primary for the year 2022-2023 in the light of cultural heritage, the number of pages analyzed reached ( 86 ) pages, and the researchers verified the consistency by reanalysis between the researcher and himself over a period of time 3-4 weeks, and between the researcher and other researchers ( the first analyst and the second analyst ) and the researchers came out with a number of results, the most important of which, the material cultural heritage ( archaeological ) and its index ( the content 130) with a percentage ( 29.28) and an acceptable degree of availability, while the material (folk) cultural heritage and its index (the content helps to familiarize with the craft The Intangible Cultural Heritage received a number of repetitions of (65) repetitions with a percentage of ( 29.02), and the research came out with several results, most notably, that the percentage of availability of cultural heritage indicators was weak in some sub-indicators, and very weak in most indicators, and this indicates a lack of balance in including these indicators, the researchers recommended the need to reconsider the content of the Arabic reading book for the sixth grade primary in order to achieve a balance between the aspects of tangible and intangible cultural heritage and their indicators, the researchers proposed to conduct a study to analyze Arabic language books for middle or high school according to popular literature .
